Media Resources
Just because you can see or hear something for free doesn't mean you can reuse it for free. Below are resources you can use. Remember to cite sources. Here's how to do it.

Great Search Engines for Lots of Media (photos, videos, music)
Creative Commons Search Engine
New CC Search Engine (beta)
Music / Sound
BBC Sound Effects
Free Music ArchiveThis website comes with a separate area with music for videos. Sift through the most recent highlights or filter the contents by mood. Search by genre, length or even tempo. Make sure to check the license as it will vary.
JamendoA community of free, legal and unlimited music published under Creative Commons licenses.
Purple Planet MusicRoyalty free music.
YouTube's Audio LibraryLimited to students in grades 9-12 and faculty and staff due to their Privacy Policy. Loaded with music and sound effects.
PhotosForClassChoose an image, then click download. The image you've downloaded automatically adds the citation (credit) under the image. Magic!
PixabayOnce you find a photo you'd like to use, see if it needs to be attributed (given credit). If so, copy the link to use in your bibliography or somewhere in your work.
Creative CommonsBe thoughtful about which of the little boxes you un-check for your search. You do need to cite your source!
PexelsGiving credit to the photographer or Pexels is not necessary but always appreciated. (Practice good digital citizenship!)
