Grade 1 airplanes continued....
The first grade students are learning about measurement and graphing. They read a book about Amelia Earhart then made paper airplanes. The students had to fly their airplanes, measure the distance they flew and record that information on a data sheet. They then made adaptations to their plane and did it all over again!
The Slate Valley Universal Preschool Program will be conducting developmental screenings for children 0-5 years of age living in Benson, Castleton, Fair Haven, Hubbardton, Orwell and West Haven. The screening involves activities that are both fun for young children and help us learn about a child's motor, cognitive, and language skills. Vision and hearing will also be screened. The second option for screening will be Wednesday, March 15th at Fair Haven Grade School. Call to make an appointment.

Second grade scientists classifying animals based on characteristics.
Mrs. Infurna and Mrs. Paquette spoke to 1st grade discussing what their job entails. The students came up with great questions like “Why are you so supportive?" and "What do you like about your job?”. The students were very excited to interview the administration.
