Parents of 6th-8th grade students:
You will be receiving a Letter and Sign-Up Form from your child’s school for the Life Time Activities (LTA) Program offered throughout our district. You may also view the letter (https://5il.co/bfpo) and form (https://5il.co/bfpn) online.
The LTA program is a curriculum based field trip for school students. We are asking for your help in allowing students to make a good selection of activities.

Students from middle schools across VT gathered in Burlington last week for a day-long tobacco prevention summit. These teens are members of VKAT, Vermont Kids Against Tobacco. Elizabeth, Isabelle and Patrick represented FHGS!

SVUUSD has received word from the state that the state will be closing 22A/South Main Street at the rail road tracks the afternoon of Monday the 11th. The road will be closed until the afternoon of Friday the 15.

Red Ribbon week continues. Monday is Superhero day!
Ms. Lusenskas’ and Ms. Countryman’s 4th grade classes took a field trip to Dead Creek Wildlife Management Area where they participated in a Songbird Banding Demonstration with Vermont Fish & Wildlife and Otter Creek Audubon.
The students observed and learned why scientists band birds, how to identify birds from up close and far away, what adaptations birds have, and why they migrate.
