Fair Haven Union Middle and High School

Thank you all for participating in the Slate Valley food drive benefiting Fair Haven Concerned! After three weeks of collecting, the numbers are in, and the food delivered. As a district we donated 1158.5 lbs. of non perishable and household items to the local food shelf. Listed below are the winning classrooms in each school for largest donation. OVS = Ms. Valley FHGS = Ms. Morgello CES = Ms. Russell/ Ms. Molis Middle school = Mr. Clark The winning classrooms will choose if they would like a pizza or ice cream party sometime in March. While it was a tight race, the school with the most pounds donated and winner of the district wide prize is Castelton Elementary coming in at 590.1 lbs. CES will be joined by Miss Lucy Neel from Holland, VT for a day of learning centered around Vermont Native American history and culture. Lucy is a member of the VT Nulhegan Abenaki tribe.

Due to the impending weather, there will be a time change for the Boys Quarter Final game --- FHUHS vs. Mt Abraham Friday, March 3, 2023. It is now at 6pm. Please come support our Boys Basketball Team. Go Slaters!

Art Lunch Bunch club runs every Tuesday. It is a time for 7th and 8th grade students to socialize while creating artwork using various mediums. The club was created by Erika P. , and is facilitated by Casey Pelletier. Drop in during lunch and let your creativity flow!

Congratulations to our FHUHS VARSITY WRESTLING TEAM Last weekend the State Championship were held at Vergennes High School. Results were: State Champion - Trey Lee 126 lb weight class 2nd Place - Colton DeLong 220lb weight class 3rd Place - Gabe Bache 170 lb weight class With only 5 wrestlers, FHUHS finished 9th place out of 22 teams. Trey, Colton and Gabe have qualified and will wrestle March 3rd and 4th at NEW ENGLANDS in Providence RI. Congratulations to all of our Wrestlers for an extremely successful season. Thank you to our coaches: Scott Shaddock, Matt Tuscano, Jakob Tratwein, and Tristan Hyatt. Good Luck to Trey, Colton and Gabe on March 4th - Slater Nation will be CHEERING for you. Go Slaters!!

On Saturday, February 25th, the Varsity Bowling Individuals took place. Josh Kennedy came in first and Emma Eckler in 3rd place. The FHUHS bowling team had 3 bowlers in the top 32 of the state, the three FHUHS qualifiers were Josh Kennedy, Keenan Donaldson, and Emma Eckler.

Congratulations to the Varsity Boys Basketball team who have moved to the quarter finals. FHUHS will be hosting the #7 Mt Abraham team on Friday, March 3rd at 7pm. Mt Abraham will have the gym for a warm up from 540-600pm and FHUHS from 600-620pm. Doors open for ticket sales at 600pm, and the gym doors will open at 630pm. All season pass holders, V B parents and fhuhs student fans will enter through the side cafe door and all other fans from FHUHS and Mt Abraham will enter the main lobby entrance. Our very own Ayame Merkel will be playing the National Anthem on her flute and our FHUMHS Booster club will provide concessions in our Cafeteria. We look forward to an exciting night of Boys Basketball, come on out to support our Slaters.

Season pass holders, Boys V parents and Slater students will be let in first. All other fans will be let in after that. Tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis.
