From Slate Valley's Athletic Director: "The Winter Sports season will begin the week of December 2nd. Please be sure to register your child on Form ReLeaf, and make sure they have an updated physical (within 2 years) on file with your child's school nurse.
Game schedules will be available soon. Adjustments are still being made at all levels, so rather than posting something that will be changed, we will do so as they get locked in."
*Sports for the high school (grades 9-12) will start on Monday Dec.2.

*Basketball for middle school teams will begin on Dec 3. Practices will be held at Fair Haven Grade School.

What an incredible fall season for Slater Nation! Just days after our Slaters brought home the 2024 Division 2 State Football Championship, the accolades keep pouring in. The Rutland Herald has named three of our outstanding student-athletes as Player of the Year in their respective sports!
Congratulations to Maddy Perry and Leigha Kretzer for sharing the honor in Girls' Soccer, and to Max Kyhill for his well-deserved recognition in Football.

Yesterday, our Law Enforcement class had the exciting opportunity to learn K-9 handling basics from SRO Ed Hunter and his Black Russian Terrier, Bear. Students practiced training techniques and basic obedience commands with Bear. Despite the chilly temperatures, everyone enjoyed the hands-on experience!

Energy filled the gym as fellow Slaters cheered on the football team heading to the D2 State Championship! With spirit, pride, and plenty of school colors, the pep rally pumped up everyone for the big game tomorrow. Go SLATERS!







Earlier this week, Athletic Director Eric Ramey joined FHU students at the Student-Athlete Leadership Conference in Burlington. At the Scholar-Athlete Banquet, Asa Young was honored as one of Vermont's top ten scholar-athletes!
The conference attendees included juniors Victoria Kelly and Cody Adams, along with sophomores Breanna Woods, Audrey Perry, Orianna Kerr, Sam Kyhill, Max Carrabino, and Luca Carrabino.

Congratulations to our #3 Slaters who have advanced to the Division II State Championship game against #1 Rice Memorial. Game time has been set for 11 AM on Saturday, November 9th at St. Johnsbury Academy.

Fans are reminded that noise-makers of any kind are not allowed. No horns, megaphones, cowbells, or vuvuzelas are permitted. Also, no confetti bombs or signs are to be put in the ground. Signs and posters can be attached to the bleachers. Please remove anything that gets put up at the conclusion of the game.
Fair Haven will be considered the visiting team, thus our sideline will be across from the press box/large set of bleachers.
T-Shirts will be available. These are long-sleeved shirts, and the price is $30 each. Venmo, cash, or checks will be accepted.
Parking will be available on campus until the lots are full. There will also be off-campus parking and a shuttle to the campus. For safety purposes, it has been recommended to wait for the shuttle rather than try to cross four lanes of traffic on foot.
Ticket prices for the football state championships games are listed below. Tickets can be purchased on Go Fan under the VPA events. Tickets can also be purchased at the gate. People will be directed to either a pre-paid line, or a cash sale line.
Football Championship Ticket Prices: Tickets are good for all 3 games on the day
$10 for adults
$5 for senior citizens and school-age children
