This week has been an amazing Slaterbration Homecoming success! Students began with their door decoration contest (pictures of one of the winning groups is below), Class hallway decorations, and dress-up days. Today students will celebrate their Slater pride at a PEP Rally, and they will decorate the football field for tonight's game. We hope you can join us tonight, as well as tomorrow afternoon, for our sporting events. The week will end with our traditional Homecoming Dance. It's truly wonderful seeing the Slater Spirit shine in all of our students!

Dear Slate Valley Community, Thank you for your participation in our recent ThoughtExchange on school budget priorities. We had over 400 participants with 125 thoughts shared and over 5,000 ratings for those thoughts. On Monday night, the top thoughts were shared with the school board. They were as follows: Continuation of free breakfast and lunch in our schools. Enrichment opportunities for students. Further addressing student behaviors throughout the system. Addition of a wood and metal shop 7-12. Staff retention. The board and administration plan on taking all of this feedback into consideration as we build our FY24 budget this fall. - Brooke Olsen-Farrell
