We would like to extend our "Congratulations" to several FHUMHS students that had the privelege to perform at the Castleton University Honors Festival. The students sang and played all day for a concert that evening.

Due to very low ridership, the 4:30 pm late bus will stop making runs after Friday, October 14th. The 5:30 pm late bus will continue to run the same after-school routes. Students will be encouraged to wait for the bus in the high school lobby.

Attached is a link to a new platform we are using to generate opinions on certain matters we are working on in our school district. The platform is called ThoughtExchange. This is the first exchange to circulate among all district parents, guardians and community members. Please take a few moments to exchange some thoughts on planning for the next academic year in relation to the school budget. Through this platform you can post a thought, along with rate and comment on others' thoughts. We value your opinions, they matter and are appreciated. All thoughts and comments remain anonymous. Thank you. To take part, just click the link below:

Emma Ezzo, a recent graduate from Fair Haven Union High School returned to the building today as a guest speaker for Mr. Clark's 7th grade social studies classes. The focus of her presentation was on the power of photography as a tool to tell the stories of both people and places. She had an amazing opportunity last year that led to some remarkable adventures and the students were able to learn about the people and places she encountered along her way through her photography. This experience will serve as a springboard for the middle school students to document some of the meaningful people and places that make up our very own Slate Valley community! Be on the lookout for some active young photographers and we will keep you posted about the upcoming gallery exhibit the students will be creating to showcase their work.

Middle and High School Parent Teacher Conferences will be occuring the evening on November 9th and afternoon of November 10th. We will be sending sign-up information over the next two weeks. We look forward to discussing student progress with families!
