FHUHS varsity boys soccer coaches, Tim Dayton and Dave Carrabino, will hold a summer soccer program beginning Monday, June 19. Training will be held 6:00-8:00 pm Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (except July 3) on the soccer training field at the high school.
High school aged players will play 4-8 scrimmages against teams from other schools. Middle school aged players will play 2-4 scrimmages. The program is free of charge, apart from a fee to cover the cost of referees, and is open to boys entering 7th grade in the fall and older.
Coaches Dayton and Carrabino are dedicated to helping build fitness, develop the skills, and acquire the understanding of the game necessary to be a soccer player. Even if you have little or no experience, come on out. They're there to teach.
Noah Beayon broke the D2 - 100m State record with a time of 11.09s. Saturday May 13th at the Dr. Jack V. Irion Queensbury Invitational. this record was previously held by Jalen Carter of U-32 with a time of 11.12s. Congratulations and Way to Go Noah!

Last week, students in Foods and Ethnic Foods classes made meals and delivered them to Fair Haven Concerned.
Dear FHUMHS Families,
The safety and well-being of our students and staff is always our top priority, therefore I felt it pertinent to inform you about a safety concern that was addressed this afternoon. It came to our attention today, Wednesday, May 10th, that we had students in possession of a loaded handgun on school property. The handgun was reported to be in a student’s vehicle on Monday, May 8th. Upon learning this today, we immediately notified law enforcement, who responded to this situation, and we are in contact with the students’ families. There is no known threat to students or staff at this time. We are taking this incident very seriously. Per our school policy, weapons of any kind are not allowed on school property. If you ever learn of any potential safety concerns, please let us know. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.

On Sunday, May 7 2023, the 28th annual banquet of the Vermont Chapter of the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame was held at Castleton University. Carson Babbie was recognized as a High School Scholar Athlete Honoree for his outstanding academic achievement, school and community leadership and football performance in the state of Vermont. He was supported in receiving this honor by the Slaters coaching staff. Congratulations, Carson!
Students in Mr. Merolle's Horticulture Class learned how to make Dandelion Fritters, and enjoyed dipping them in the maple syrup boiled down a couple months ago.
Last week, students in Ms. Clement's Foods Class took part in a cupcake baking competition. Entries were judged on originality, presentation and of course taste. Congratulations to the "green" team for winning with their lemon, raspberry filled cupcakes.

The FHUMHS Baseball and Softball teams are hosting a Benefit Cookout to support the Martelle and Bouzianis family, after they lost their home to a devastating fire. This family includes 4 athletes from our baseball and softball programs.
The event will take place on Saturday, May 13th following the Varsity Baseball and Softball home games.
Burgers, hot dogs, chips, dessert, and drinks will be served from 4:00-7:00pm in the circle at FHUMHS. The community is invited to join us and eat outside picnic style or stop by to grab take out.
